Danielle Wade opened Asteria Salon in 2010 to create an environment where her clients could be comfortable during their experience and feel assured they will walk out feeling their best. Danielle’s attention to detail and her ability to create unique styles that compliment each client’s individuality and lifestyle are what push her to be the best she can be. Danielle is a down to earth and honest hairdresser who will always make you feel welcomed. She has a true passion for all things hair, and has devoted her career to continuing her education to become a master of her craft. With almost two decades of experience behind the chair, and nearly 16 years experience as a Salon Educator, she uses cutting edge techniques to produce consistent results for each client who sits in her chair.

Danielle started her career at the young age of 16, attending Cosmetology School in Oklahoma City while still completing High School at the same time. She graduated from both schools at the top of her class, with honors, in 2005. I spent 17 years building my career in Denver. The diverse and unique styles in Southern California inspired my big move to my current home San Diego.

Danielle believes the most important factor to being a great stylist is having a great education. She has traveled all over the United States being both a student and an educator. She attended the Redken Exchange in NYC to become a Redken Certified Colorist and Hair Color Educator, and is currently an international educator for Babe Hair Extensions. Facilitating classes and sharing her knowledge with any generation of hairdresser makes her heart happy. She genuinely loves teaching and prides herself on an honest, “no-ego” approach to education. Danielle loves to attend hair shows, classes, and conferences of all types to continue learning and expanding her knowledge. Constantly keeping up with the latest trends and techniques is what makes her passion thrive.

Expertise/Specialties

Danielle certainly enjoys all aspects of being a hairdresser and is always up for a challenge. Although she enjoys it all, her favorite things to do behind the chair are: Hair Extensions, Hair Coloring, Formal Styling/Braiding, and Editorial Styling.

Hair Color

Danielle uses a variety of different color lines to create all color palettes from natural sun-kissed highlights to any creative color you can dream of. She loves clients to bring in photos of their desired looks to get ideas on what they like, paying attention to skin tone, natural background color, and face shape. She always has an honest and complete consultation to make sure her clients are getting the color they are expecting. Danielle has dug deep into the color world to find her favorite products from different brands to create the best possible results for her clients. She is always trying new things, searching for the newest and most sought after colors to create longevity, shine, and healthy color-treated hair. Formal Styling and Braiding

From the start of her career, formal styling has always been one of Danielle’s strongest assets. She loves the creativity she can use when shaping glamorous looks for all types of occasions. Danielle has created hundreds of unique styles for proms, weddings, and many other special events. Choosing techniques based off of the client’s desired results, she can implement braiding, twists, hair extensions, flowers, or hairpieces. Editorial Styling

Asteria Salon has been featured in many local Denver publications including, 303 Magazine, Denver’s A-List, and The Westword. Danielle loves working “on set” and specializes in high-fashion hairstyling. She has worked behind the scenes in numerous fashion shows including 303 Magazine’s Hair Show that landed Asteria being named “Salon of the Year” in 2011. Hair Extensions

Danielle loves Babe Extensions because they create “instant gratification” for her clients. They are quickly put in and easily removed, unlike previous products on the market. Hair Extensions can be used to create length, density, or just a pop of color. They are a great way to try out new styles or colors with out the commitment of changing your own hair. Consultations are required for all extension clients, and are always complementary. Danielle is a internationally Certified Extension Educator for Babe Extensions. Prior to becoming an educator for Babe, she had been using their extensions for many years, because of the company’s strong values, quality hair, and innovative extension techniques. Currently Danielle offers all of Babe’s extension options including I-tip, Flat-tip, Tape-In, Fusion, and Weft extensions.
